Quite accurate, tested it between 0 and 5000 feet against commercial GPS. Would love an iPad version, or at least get rid of the white bar...

I have used this app for a while. You can drive down the road a flat load for a quarter mile and see as much as 100 feet altitude difference. If this app worked and if it had the speed you were traveling it would be an okay app otherwise dont bother wasting your time.
Horizontal and vertical accuracy are often around 100 feet, yet latitude and longitude values represent accuracy to within a fraction of an inch. Whats going on?
Neither stable nor accurate I tried it then deleted it. No features beyond altitude and lat. and long.
This app was incredibly accurate and useful, yet beautifully simple. After giving several others a look, this is what I recommend.
Seriously Guys? What’s the point?
This is a helpful app for a quick approximation. I would recommend that a spell check be done for an updated version.
The best I can get out of this app is “GPS not ready”.
This used to be the best altimeter app out there. Now pop up adds cover the entire screen just seconds after you launch the app. Renders app completely useless. When you close the pop up add trickery launches your browser to see more of whatever crap they are selling. When you finally close the dad and get back to the app only a few seconds later does another add cover and fill the entire screen. Covers up the Altimeter reading. What the crap is that all about. Terrible absolutely terrible app and completely and totally useless now. What a shame for another great app to be tarnished and ruined like this. Off it goes from my device.
I am no longer seeing the full screen ads, perhaps I just didnt use it long enough? Because even in the App Store pictures, "Horizontal" shows incorrectly spelled... Okay, English is a second+ language, but it is spelled right in the webpages???
I have had this app for a couple of years. Until recently, the ads were on the borders of the app. They recently added full screen pop up ads which cover the entire screen. This severely limits the usefulness of the app, since you cant see the info. I am looking for a replacement app to replace this one.
Ive only used the app about 3 times, less than a minute each time, and since then it has eaten OVER 4.5 MEGABYTES of cell data! I had to triple check that it said MB because I couldnt believe my eyes. Ive only had the app a week, by the way. Deleted.
Works fine as long as you dont mind being buttered to death about installing the "official Google App." Apparently this Altimeter App comes from Google and they want more of you. (sigh)
This app is just a scam to get you to buy an app and does not work.
recent updates just keep adding more ads. have used this app when need to quickly see one thing: altitude. the just introduced pop-up ad slows this down.
This used to be a good app. No longer. First they started displaying ads, as others have noted. I stopped that (most of the time) by turning off Cellular data for the app. That stopped the ads when away from wi-fi, which is most of the time when I use this app. But now they have added cookies so they can track you, regardless of your cellular data status. I have deleted the app from my phone, since I have another one now without the annoyances and tracking.
Get rid of the adds, 5 stars; with the adds 1star.
